क्वारेन्टाइनको बिजोग, कहाँ भयो १०अर्ब खर्च? government has released details of Rs 9.87 billion

Although the government has released details of Rs 9.87 billion spent in four months and 12 days for the prevention of corona, the corona has not been brought under control. Despite so much spending in the name of control, the transparency of government spending has been called into question as the corona infection rate continues to rise.

The government has said that the amount has been spent for testing, medicine and relief since the construction of the quarantine, but the condition of most of the quarantines built by the government is deplorable. There is even a risk of infection from quarantine if even the minimum standards are not met.

So far, the central government has spent Rs 6.3 billion, the state government Rs 1.8 billion and the local government Rs 2.76 billion for corona control. However, the government has not been able to provide the details of the expenditure. Although it is said that crores of rupees have been spent on quarantine, quarantine is chaotic in many places and no corona test has been conducted at the border entering Nepal. Contact tracing of those who have come in contact with the infected has become weak.

The number of government doctors is 1,300. According to the Nepal Medical Council, 26,346 doctors have been registered. The risk has increased as the government has not been able to mobilize those doctors effectively.
